1 Cor 6:8-11
8 Instead, you yourselves cheat and do wrong, and you do this to your brothers.
9 Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders

My story:

Is it okay to lie and cheat?

Good question. It depends on your upbringing I guess, the values you imbibed from your family and friends.

In my case, I was trained to value the fruit of my labor, that the only thing worth keeping is that which you earned by the sweat of your brow. I was trained to be self-reliant

We had to be because we grew up in an isolated farm. We had to repair everything that broke down and make it work: from a flashlight to overhauling a diesel engine, or pulling a farm animal from a quicksand.

We could not cheat nor lie our way out. It either worked or not. If it did not, then you go hungry without a harvest.

You can lie in one situation, or cheat in one exam. But you can't do that with life. No way to cheat yourself out of a jam. It will run after you and wear you down… if not today, then perhaps next year.

So, make your stand, grit your teeth, do the work and pray all the time. To succeed in life, you need God's help.
